Colophon

This website was built with Astro.js, a web framework designed for content-driven websites. It's great for developer focussed blogs (like this one). Tailwind CSS provides all the styles for the minimal design. Content is derived from a mix of markdown (MDX) and JSON files. All of this is hosted for free on Vercel.

The grayscale colour theme is extracted straight from Tailwind and their neutral gray palette. I find those colours so easy to work with.

Two fonts are used within this project: Inter and Geist Mono.

Inter is a popular sans-serif typeface used across a wide range of websites. You've likely seen it somewhere online already. I use it for pretty much everything that isn't code.

Geist Mono, created by Vercel, is a monospace font that works perfectly for blocks of code. Both fonts are freely distributed under an open source license.

The images used throughout this website mainly come from Unsplash. It's my favourite resource for beautiful, royalty free images.

Phosphor is my icon library of choice. It's another great open-source project providing vital assets.
